This publication expands on the visual language developed for the Pansori-inspired exhibition, exploring the Korean concept of han—a collective feeling of sorrow, resilience, and longing. Layout, typography, and imagery translate the emotional depth of han into a tactile, rhythmic reading experience, echoing the cadence and gestural expressiveness of Pansori performance.
Through layered spreads, calligraphic motifs, and subtle textures, the publication creates a visual rhythm that mirrors musical phrasing and emotional tension, allowing readers to navigate the weight and release inherent in han. It extends the exhibition’s exploration of inherited feeling into a printed form, transforming abstract cultural emotion into a system of design that is both reflective and experiential.
