Play is such an essential part of what brings joy and life to us all. It’s often seen as something we leave behind in childhood, but really, play never goes away — it just changes form.

While exploring this project, I looked into how play develops in children and was fascinated by the different stages — from playing alone to playing together. I was especially drawn to “observation play,” where kids learn just by watching others. It’s such a quiet kind of play, but so powerful. It made me think about how we, as adults, also engage in similar forms of play — we just don’t always call it that.

How (Can) We Play is about exploring that idea — how play exists in all of us and how we might bring more of it back into our everyday lives. Through this project, I wanted to ask what play looks like now, how it feels, and how we can invite a bit more joy, curiosity, and openness into the way we see and create. 🔴🔸🟪🌙
